The new Moon in Gemini on June 18 is a time to examine your life and ask yourself what you want to change. The new Moon asks you to honor your transformation process by staying grounded in your body and open to new perspectives. There is lightness and humor in this new Moon. There is also an encouragement to stay flexible. If you find yourself with last-minute changes or cancellations, ask how you can create the best change needed.
You may notice your mind racing that day, or you may even notice that your worries have increased. Before you feel lost in these thoughts, connect with your body to stabilize your energy. Feel your feet firmly planted on the ground. Then you can write your intentions. Take deep breaths and remember that your thoughts do not define you. You can anytime let them go.
It helps you sift through the details of your life to find what is working and what needs to be changed. As you work with this New Moon, review parts of your life, including your career, relationships, inner work, and more.
Your life is a collaboration of energy. Ideally, each piece feeds off the other and even raises the vibration of other areas. They all work together to create a larger vision for your life. As you write intentions, create that larger vision. See and feel the life you want to live, then ask yourself which areas help form that vision and which need to be changed.
You go through your life with different stories playing in your head. These stories are about your self-esteem, your doubts, your limits, your abilities, your ego attachments, your identity, who you are and who you want to be. These stories can help or block you. They can open you up or lock you in a corner. They can make you feel proud and capable or small and ineffective.
If you find a part of your life that isn’t adding the energy you desire to your desired big image, ask yourself how is your inner story in that part. For example, if your relationships don’t support the larger vision of your life, ask what stories you tell yourself about them. Do you tell yourself that you have to please people to be loved, or that you are unworthy of love? Maybe you tell yourself that you are not good enough or that you prefer freedom. There is no bad story, they are all your experiences, you just need to notice how they shape your reality and perspective.
If your story tells you to believe something about yourself or others, you are listening. This often happens unconsciously.
The good news is that we can choose to rewrite them at any time. We can change the way we view our past, our emotions, and even our interactions with the rest of the world. Like most things, the key is to become aware of your stories, then drop the ones that don’t serve you.
You change your life. Moreover, when you become aware of your stories, you can choose not to allow them to control you. Instead of listening, we can release all unnecessary thoughts, and simply fall into the present uninfluenced by our past, our ego, or anything we have been taught. Feel the power of this new Moon helping you step into a new narrative and begin a new story, a story aligned with higher vibrations and endless possibilities.
